Over the past 27 years the community has been so amazing to support our Murray transmission shop, we just have to give back. In 2012 we decided to give a vehicle or car “makeover” to a deserving family and have done it every year since. In 2016 we selected a Veteran injured when an IED exploded near his convoy. This was such an amazing and emotional experience, we now select a Veteran every year.
Our Community Service Promotions
At J & G Transmissions we love cars, trucks and all things on wheels. In an effort to give back to the community for supporting our Murray, Utah business the past 27 years, we wanted to present a promotion that would give a vehicle or car “makeover” to a deserving family that seriously needed wheels. We chose to give away a completely refurbished Ford Windstar Minivan in 2013, and gave away a car “makeover” in 2012.

The Contest: We asked our FACEBOOK friends: Does a military family you know need and deserve a car makeover? Do you have a military friend, neighbor or family member who needs a reliable vehicle? Then enter them to win the J & G Transmissions 2016 Veterans Car Makeover Giveaway. It’s easy, just submit a :30 sec. video or visit J & G Transmissions FACEBOOK page and send pictures of your nominee’s vehicle and in 100 words or less tell us why you think your military friend or family member should win a chance to get their vehicle back on the road in style in a beautifully redone car makeover. Judging will be based on overall need and clarity of written statement. Nominee must be a licensed Utah driver 21 or older. **Click here for more contest details.

In 2013, J&G gave away a completely refurbished super clean 2003 Ford Windstar Minivan equipped with air, power windows, power doors… a prize package valued at $5000.00!

Re-do Your Ride / 2012 / Minivan Makeover
The first year of our community service promotion was the Re-do You’re Ride car makeover. We gave away a car makeover to single mom Hollie Ann Ritter and her two daughters. We and our amazing sponsors gave the minivan a complete makeover, including a new transmission, engine work, new tires, new windshield, bodywork, and detailing valued at over $5,000.00.
That same year, we also hosted a mini “car show in the park” to present the winning family with their vehicle makeover. Our “makeover” winner was a deserving single mom and her two daughters. The prize package was valued at $5,000! We appreciate your business.
